Anxiety Treatment in Wyoming via Telehealth
Anxiety is more than stress - it can take over your sleep, your relationships, and your ability to get through the day. As a Wyoming-licensed PMHNP, I provide telehealth psychiatric evaluation and medication management for anxiety disorders across the state.

Anxiety shows up differently for everyone. These are some of the most common patterns.
What to expect at your first appointment
Full evaluation
We'll go through your anxiety history, triggers, physical symptoms, and impact on daily functioning. I'll ask about your history, any previous treatment, and what you're hoping to get out of care.
A plan that fits
Together we'll discuss whether medication is appropriate, which options make sense for your presentation, and what therapy-informed strategies can help in between visits.
Ongoing monitoring
Follow-up visits track your progress, address side effects, and continue refining the approach. Anxiety treatment often improves significantly over the first few months.
Anxiety medication management
For many people, medication is a meaningful part of anxiety treatment - not a crutch, but a tool that makes everything else more possible. As a board-certified PMHNP with full prescribing authority in Wyoming, I prescribe and manage first-line anxiety medications including SSRIs, SNRIs, and non-habit-forming options based on your full clinical picture.
I do not prescribe benzodiazepines as a routine treatment for anxiety. There are more effective, safer long-term approaches, and I will work with you to find the right fit.
Therapy-informed support for anxiety
I incorporate evidence-based techniques - including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness-based approaches - into our work together. These tools help you understand the thought patterns driving anxiety and build practical skills to interrupt them. Medication and therapy-informed care work better together than either alone.

Frequently Asked Questions
What medications are used to treat anxiety?
First-line medications for anxiety include SSRIs (like sertraline, escitalopram) and SNRIs (like venlafaxine, duloxetine). For short-term or situational anxiety, other options may be considered. I evaluate what is appropriate based on your full history and goals.
Is medication or therapy better for anxiety?
Often both together are most effective. Medication can reduce the intensity of anxiety symptoms, while therapy-informed approaches help change the patterns that maintain anxiety. I incorporate both in my work with patients.
Do you treat generalized anxiety, panic disorder, and social anxiety?
Yes. I treat the full spectrum of anxiety disorders including generalized anxiety disorder (GAD), panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and anxiety that overlaps with PTSD, depression, or ADHD.
How long does anxiety treatment take?
Response to medication typically begins within 2–6 weeks, with full benefit developing over several months. Ongoing follow-up ensures adjustments are made as needed. Many patients see significant improvement within the first few months of treatment.
Can telehealth treat anxiety effectively?
Yes. Telehealth is highly effective for anxiety treatment. Research consistently shows outcomes comparable to in-person care, and for many patients, being in a familiar, comfortable environment during appointments reduces anxiety itself.
